Melbourne Browncoats needs your help!

2009 was a busy year for the Melbourne Browncoats! We had heaps of fun running fan booths at Supanova Expo and Armageddon, and our Can’t Stop the Serenity event was a huge success.

And now we’re on a mission to make 2010 just as fun! And this is where you come in.

Melbourne Browncoats has been coordinated by a small but dedicated team of volunteers. This little crew of Browncoats has managed the Browncoat Charity Booth (which raised over $1000 for charity last year), were the backbone of last year’s Can’t Stop the Serenity event and keep this website going. But we need your help.

We want to see the Melbourne Browncoats grow into a vibrant social group (who also do good works when needed). To do this, we are hoping to build a bigger team to help make this vision a reality. We want to expand our geeky social network and help people meet new people so that we can share our interests and generally nerd out with people just like us. We’d love to see Browncoats regularly (rather than just 3 times a year), so we’re hoping to have some help to organise monthly meetups (such as pub nights, dinner, and whatever else folks would enjoy). We’re also hoping to find folks who’d like to help organise our Browncoat Booth and other charity activities. If you’ve got a talent for art, graphic design, web design, event management, promotions, marketing, public relations, merchandising, or social networking, we’d love to give you an outlet to put your skills to the test.

If you’d like to join our crew, we’d love to have you. All you have to do is drop us an email at melbbrowncoats@gmail.com, and we’ll start from there!
